4th of July tree

Since receiving my metal Christmas tree last year, I've changed it for the different holidays. This is my 4th of July tree.  Now, I know I should have decorated it a bit more, but time slipped away from me.

Steve and I took a delayed honeymoon to the Canada, Salem, Boston, Cape Cod and New York City, so I didn't have the time or energy to get all my decorating done.  Next year it will be fuller. I promise!

There is no easy way to get a good picture of the tree.

These are pictures of my vignette for the 4th.

No more tangled necklaces

I have to leave the house every morning at 5:30 to catch the bus to be at work by 6:30 in downtown Houston.  I have many beautiful necklaces that I would wear if I didn't have to take the time to untangle them from my jewelry box.  So, this morning I thought of this little idea to store my necklaces (and scarves) and to keep them untangled!  I used cheap (as in free) plastic pants hangers.  Now I can hang them in my closet and free up space in my jewelry cabinet.

No more tangled necklaces!
